For the last 18 months, I’ve been on my first-ever professional skincare journey with a medical spa in Huntsville, Alabama, and the results have been transformative!
I was introduced to Zula Modern Medspa in the spring of 2024 when they launched their Alma IQ Skin Consultation technology to the Huntsville community. This advanced skin analysis revealed not only what was happening on the surface of my skin, but also deeper concerns beneath it, and even a projection of what my skin could look like in 10 years if I didn’t take action.
It was eye-opening and overwhelming.
If you’ve ever researched medical-grade skincare treatments, you know how quickly things get confusing. Laser facials. Microneedling. Chemical peels. Advanced technology. Big price tags.
My biggest questions were:
Where do I even start?
Which treatments actually work together?
How often should I go?
What kind of results are realistic, and how long do they take?
That’s where having the right provider and a customized plan makes all the difference.
My aesthetician, Leslie Ware, created a 12-month personalized treatment plan designed to address:
Hormonal melasma
Acne scarring
Overall redness
Sun-related brown spots
Uneven skin tone and texture
One important caveat: I don’t have time for heavy downtime. As a local content creator and mom of three very active kids, disappearing for days after aggressive treatments just isn’t realistic.
Leslie reassured me that we could take a less aggressive, low-downtime approach, knowing it might take a bit longer, but would still deliver meaningful results. That felt like the perfect fit.
Over the next 12 months, I completed a series of:
Clearlift laser treatments
Dye-VL treatments
Microneedling with exosomes
In total, I completed eight treatments, and the difference in my skin has been undeniable: clearer tone, reduced pigmentation, smoother texture, and overall healthier-looking skin.
Because the results were so encouraging, we slightly adjusted my plan moving forward. I’m now focusing more heavily on Clearlift and microneedling, with about 12 appointments over the next 12 months.
Leslie’s long-term goal? Skin that may be completely free of melasma.
