Wood & Cloth Interiors officially opens tomorrow, October 8th, 2021 at 10 a.m. just two short months after announcing that they were adding an expansive new storefront right here in Madison.

Wood & Cloth Interiors brings a mix of modern, farmhouse, French Country, coastal, and classic furniture and décor that is available to customize for future delivery or to purchase and take home the same day. They offer complimentary gift-wrapping services, layaway options, furniture delivery, and much more.

I spoke to owner Mary Kate Nave back in August as she described her vision for the store to be made up of complete rooms so that shoppers could visualize how to put entire living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and offices together. When I walked into the store on Monday for a sneak peek, I was immediately blown away by her ability to absolutely bring her vision to life.

Customers will immediately be greeted by various entryway set-ups and other knick-knack décor items, including a large array of indoor and outdoor seasonal items. Look up, and you’ll see a handful of light fixtures in various styles and sizes. (Psst: Light fixture options seem to be few and far between to find in Madison and surrounding areas, so this is an amazing new option to shop light fixtures!) The majority of the store though is set up as rooms to browse and shop from. Nave says that customers are able to purchase individual pieces or take home entire room collections!

If you have a difficult time envisioning how to mix and match styles and pair different pieces together, Wood & Cloth Interiors has completely taken the guesswork out of it for customers.

Nave says that most pieces customers will find are highly customizable and are available to be ordered in various fabrics, colors, sizes, and more. Wood & Cloth also offers in-home design services and travels all over the region helping clients create rooms of their dreams. For example, Nave is currently working with a client in Birmingham who has tasked her with helping re-decorate her entire home. Awesome!

Doors open at 10 a.m. tomorrow, and the first 10 customers will receive a special giveaway item. Every customer who spends $100+ on Friday or Saturday will be entered to win a Tiki Brand black patio fire pit, which includes a free stand, cloth cover, and wood pack.

August’s article shared a bit of the backstory of Wood & Cloth’s history and how it organically came to be. Nave says that opening a storefront of this level is a dream come true, and she credits so much of tomorrow’s opening to her husband Cody. Nave says that tomorrow’s grand opening coincidence with her and her husband’s 10th wedding anniversary, which is fitting because “he has walked every mile of market with me, lifted every single box, and worked with me after working his day job, which is a 12-hour shift of swapping days and nights.”

She says that most people will never know what has gone into bringing this store to fruition, but that her husband has seen it all and helped with every bit of it.

“This is happening only because Cody has pushed me, believed in me, and has been so excited for me when every tiny detail falls into place.”
