The early days of the pandemic significantly slowed Town Madison‘s commercial development, but the last couple of months have brought announcement after announcement of what’s to come to this area. Construction has been swift and big signs with “open” will soon light up in businesses all over this brand new, walkable community.
Here’s a quick round-up of what to expect over in Town Madison soon. Some of these businesses will open as soon as April while others plan to begin construction in late 2021.

J. Alexander’s

J. Alexander’s is a “contemporary American restaurant known for its wood-fired cuisine.” This location in Town Madison will be the first in Alabama. Steak entrees average about $35 and seafood entrees average about $25.
Margaritaville Resort and Hotel

Margaritaville Resort and Hotel is a destination resort and entertainment complex that will feature food and beverage concepts, 150+ hotel rooms, water park with a lazy river, volleyball courts, a large event/meeting space, and much more.
I Love Sushi
Unique to North Alabama, I Love Sushi features Japanese cuisine of all kinds. The menu is packed with sushi, noodles, meats, items for children, and much more.
Jonathan’s Grille
Jonathan’s Grille began in the Nashville area and is classified as an upscale sports bar. Two separate entrances allow for families and bar-goers alike to enjoy unique, American cuisine while being surrounded by over 50 big-screen TVs. Patio space will be plentiful as well! The Yard Milkshake Bar
What began as a small milkshake shop in Gulf Shores in 2017 has exploded into a dozen locations across seven states, with the very next to open being right here in Madison! The Yard Milkshake Bar offers premium ice cream, edible cookie dough, and milkshakes like you’ve never had before.

Slim Chickens specializes in chicken and wings and has over 70 locations globally. This fast-casual restaurant features specialty mac and cheese, chicken and waffles, fried mushrooms, milkshakes, and chicken sandwiches galore. An average sandwich meal runs about $10.
