Baseball + friends + good food + class ballpark entertainment = my kind of perfect outing. There is something so classically nostalgic about gathering at a baseball game with friends and family young and old to collectively cheer on your hometown team to a win.
The Rocket City Trash Pandas know that heading to the ballpark as a group is the desire of many, which is why they’ve created a handful of hospitality areas to accommodate groups of any size who are enjoying a night at the ballpark for any occasion.
Though Toyota Field is only three years old, the Trash Pandas staff members are constantly scouring for ways to make an experience at the stadium bigger, better, and more comfortable every year.
Wayne’s Picnic Patio has entertained tens of thousands of fans since 2021. This group gathering area is ideally located right behind third base and just steps away from the children’s play area and the outfield concourse, which is full of food, drink, and entertainment options.
My family personally utilized this area in July of 2021 to celebrate our daughter’s 2nd birthday along with my brother’s 30th birthday. It was the perfect birthday outing for our entire extended family! They even received a joint birthday message on the video screen. That evening will always be one of my favorite family memories thanks to the Trash Pandas.
Wayne’s Picnic Patio formerly featured picnic-table style seating that fit 6-8 guests per table, but this year the tables have been improved!
This area now features drink-rail-style seating so every guest can face the field. There is still plenty of room to get up and move about so that you can socialize as a group with ease.
Tickets to this area are available for groups with a minimum of 10 guests. Tickets are $32 + tax and are all-inclusive minus alcoholic beverages. Each guest will receive a ticket to the Wayne’s Picnic Patio area and 2.5 hours of a private “all you can eat” food service. Nobody will go hungry, that’s for certain!
Available food options include hot dogs, hamburgers, cole slaw, baked beans, seasonal fruit, tortilla chips and salsa, assorted cookies, and brownies. Water, lemonade, and sweet tea will also be available.
