If you’ve driven down County Line Road and done a sharp head turn after spotting “The Goph Club” sign, I did the exact same thing! My husband and I recently went inside to try it for ourselves, and I’m here to give you the scoop on what you’ll find as well as who will enjoy it most.

Here’s the first thing you should know: I have never played a round of golf in my life, and I LOVED this place!

You absolutely do not have to be an experienced golfer to visit The Goph Club. At the same time, if you already love golf and want to keep improving, this place was made for you!

What is The Goph Club?

The Goph Club is a two-bay, 24/7 indoor golf facility found only in Madison. Each bay uses Trackman technology to analyze your swing and ball flight in real time.

We were fascinated by the instant feedback and immediately wanted to keep swinging! It was so fun to track our numbers and attempt to improve with each swing!

In addition to practicing your swing, guests can play more than 550 virtual courses from around the world. So neat!

Up to four people may use a bay at one time, so you can come alone or bring your spouse, children, friends, or coworkers.

As far as what you need to bring, guests should bring their own clubs and clean golf balls.

Who will love it?

In my opinion, The Goph Club is especially perfect for three groups:

1. New golfers who feel intimidated

If you’ve always wanted to learn golf but felt uncomfortable practicing around experienced players, this is such an easy way to begin. You can reserve a bay and learn in a small, low-pressure environment without feeling like anyone is watching or waiting on you.

2. Experienced golfers who want to improve

Trackman provides measurable information about your swing. Instead of guessing what you need to work on, you can see your numbers and track your progress over time.

3. Groups looking for something different to do

The Goph Club offers great options for birthdays, family outings, team gatherings, corporate events, and holiday parties, even if everyone in your group isn’t an experienced golfer.

How to book a bay

There are two ways to play:

  1. Choose one of the membership options if you plan to visit regularly. All memberships include unlimited practice, while the different tiers determine how long you can reserve a bay and how far in advance you can book.
  2. Skip the membership and pay online each time you want to reserve a bay.

The entire process is simple and self-service: Book online, receive a PIN for the front door, enter your bay PIN, and then start playing. Leagues are coming soon, too!

Meet the Owner

Owner Seth Miller is an Air Force veteran and longtime aerospace professional who created The Goph Club to give golfers a convenient and enjoyable place to seriously work on their game. He’s also excited to show his young daughter what it looks like to take a risk, pursue an idea, and build something of your own.

We love to see it!
