2022 has sent Town Madison into overdrive with business after business announcing their grand openings, but one that particularly caught my eye months ago was Premiere Dental Spa. I read the announcement and watched the signage go up but still wasn’t quite sure what “dental spa” meant.

Turns out, it’s exactly that (and a dentist and a spa!), and it’s really fabulous (and really beautiful). Premiere Dental Spa is a family and cosmetic dental practice and a medical-grade spa all in one! It also turns out that many people who have moved to the Huntsville/Madison area from larger cities are quite familiar with this combination of services being paired together. Offering something unique for the Huntsville area is exactly what Dr. Teneshia Daniels set out to do when she opened her first Premiere Dental Spa location in Huntsville nearly 10 years ago. Dr. Daniels originally moved to Toney, Alabama following her dentistry residency in Florida after accepting a job at an existing practice. Originally from Mississippi, Dr. Daniels loved the idea of being close to her home state but also close to Nashville where she attended both undergraduate and dental school.

“During dental school and residency I was exposed to all aspects of dentistry, and it was amazing,” Dr. Daniels shares as she recalls the early days of her career when anything felt possible. 

“I loved dentistry, but I felt like there was something else I wanted to offer as well that was unique.”

She soon began taking courses on Botox and fillers and received numerous certifications. She says that many of her patients were interested in Botox for therapeutic reasons while others wanted it for cosmetic purposes. 

Dr. Daniels, a Doctor of Dental Surgery, was already in the business of doing complete mouth rehabilitation, which “combines esthetics with the science of restorative dentistry to improve the health, function, and beauty of the mouth.”

But soon her patients, who knew that Dr. Daniels was certified to administer Botox and other injections, began to ask her if she could go a step further with perfecting their smiles.

“They’d ask me about making their lips bigger or about getting rid of certain wrinkles.”

She says that the demand for esthetic services like this became so great that she took the leap and brought on a full service of facial esthetics to her very own practice, and Premiere Dental Spa was born. 

Dr. Daniels says that dental and esthetician services are combining with rapid speed and are all over big cities in states such as California and New York.

“Dentists specialize in the head and neck. In fact, our first year of dental school is all about learning the anatomy of the areas we’ll be working with.”

She says that her knowledge of the head and neck lends itself organically to the range of services that men and women are often looking for.

“We offer medical-grade everything here,” she explains as she begins to share a lengthy list of services both the Huntsville and brand new Madison location provide. 

From facials to waxing to chemical peels to Botox and beyond, Premiere Dental Spa in Madison, Alabama offers it all.

Facials include (but are not limited to) Aquafacials, Dermaplanning, Oxygen Life facials, and mini-facials. Full-body waxing services are available and include add-ons such as numbing cream and extraction services.

Chemical peels, Juvaderm, Skin Analysis consultations, and more are all available within Premiere Dental Spa. 

Dr. Daniels says that many of her patients will visit her for a cleaning and then decide to add on a facial because they have a bit of extra time. She says that this simple add-on turns a routine dental appointment into something so many of her patients immensely look forward to.

Premiere Dental Spa was designed strategically to strike more of a spa feel than a dental feel in order to decrease anxiety for patients who feel triggered by their routine cleanings.

“We offer warm blankets and eye massagers to our dental patients who feel a bit more anxious about their visit. We truly desire for everyone to feel relaxed while receiving whatever services they came to us for.”

When asked how a Madison location came to be, Dr. Daniels chuckles and says that it was born from a great desire by the Madison community.

“We calculated that over 800 of our patients at our Huntsville location were traveling from Madison just to get their regular cleanings,” she says. “As soon as we saw this space for a second location, we knew that is was the answer to our patients that were coming from all over.”

And the Premiere Dental Spa at Town Madison was born, officially opening in early Spring 2022.

Dr. Daniels says that she is the only dentist at the Madison location, so clients will always see her when they come in for a cleaning or other dental visit.
