On a list of the businesses that I am so thrilled to have opened in Madison in the last couple of years, Super Duck Car Wash is in the top three without hesitation.

Though it’s always nice to have a clean exterior, it’s their interior cleaning options that have really sealed the deal for me and enhanced our everyday lives in numerous ways. Super Duck has exceeded my expectations of what a car wash should offer and has me feeling mentally lighter when zipping around town.

{Even I am surprised at my own words, but I truly value resources that are effective, easy, and created with intention. In two months, the Super Duck experience has transformed my minivan from a vehicle I’d decided would always be covered in typical “family of five with three young kids”-type clutter to a vehicle that is consistently and deeply clean. I could have always taken the time to routinely clean my van, but Super Duck has made it EASY, affordable, and FAST, and I’m so grateful.}

Prior to visiting Super Duck, I subconsciously assumed that any new car wash consists of the classic model of “choose your car wash and then park to do a quick vacuum with hoses that get tangled and are barely strong enough to remove the crumbs and dog hair from my car” type of car wash. I felt indifferent when a new car wash opened up in town, but I’m now shouting from the rooftops that Super Duck is anything but your classic car wash.

A five-star customer experience is the number one priority for Operating Partners and dynamic sister duo Patricia Son and Hannah Lee, who both share that there is no limit they will stop at or expense they will spare to ensure that every customer that pulls up for a wash at Super Duck leaves with a pep in their step and a clean vehicle within minutes.

Single-Wash Options

Pulling into Super Duck Car Wash is an easy experience. Simply follow the signs to access the digital payment kiosk, where you will select and pay for the level of car wash you’re interested in. A single-wash “Super Tire Shine” car wash is just $10 with options that increase to a $30 single-wash “Super Graphene” wash.

Unlimited Wash Club Options

If unlimited washes are more up your alley, join the Super Duck Wash Club with options that range from $19.99 to $44.99. Click here to view all five options!

There is no contract with the Super Duck Wash Club, so feel free to cancel at any time (though you very likely won’t want to cancel once you experience the difference of this car wash!) Once you sign up to be a part of the Wash Club on any level, the payment kiosk will automatically read your license plate number and open the arm for you to drive right in (which means that you don’t need a pesky sticker on your car!)

This is just another element in the ease of being a Super Duck member!

Oh, and did you know that you can create a family plan too and save money on each additional car you add to your plan? So easy!

About Super Duck Car Wash

The Super Duck Car Wash tunnel is the longest tunnel in town, expanding a whopping 135 feet! It uses the most state-of-the-art equipment that Super Duck could get their hands on and includes a max amount of equipment to ensure a better cleaning experience.

Operating Partners Patricia and Hannah share that while their equipment is stellar, it’s secondary to the service and options that customers will continue to receive once they exit the tunnel.

Lee describes Super Duck as offering cleaning options that are equal parts geared for one’s interior and exterior of one’s car, and we’re not just talking about a vacuum!

The vacuums themselves are plentiful and available on both sides of each parking spot to ensure that two people can vacuum a vehicle at the same time. The vacuums are strong with 425 horsepower, which is equivalent to six standard vacuums!

The additional interior cleaning options go on and on. One can essentially detail his or her entire car in just minutes with resources that are available at every single parking spot.

Air guns are located at each parking spot and are perfect for blowing out hard-to-clean spots, such as cup holders, air vents, and other nooks and crannies where dust, crumbs, and grime like to accumulate. (This air gun feature sold me hook, line, and sinker. It’s so great and bizarrely satisfying!)

Located next to the air guns is a basket with clean, folded, yellow microfiber towels as well as an additional basket to place dirty towels. These towels are designed to be used with complimentary all-purpose and window cleaner sprays.

Customers are invited to grab the spray bottles along with a clean towel and spend as much time as they need giving their interior a good wipe-down.

The fun doesn’t stop there though! Located on the northwest side of the parking lot is a mat shampoo option! Customers are invited to take their floorboard mats one at a time and have them cleaned by inserting them through the automated system. Each mat is finished within 5-10 seconds, which makes the process of cleaning all of your floorboard mats a cinch!

Because customers have fallen in love with the mat shampoo system, Super Duck will soon be adding an additional mat shampoo system on the other side of the parking lot as well.

Hannah says that many businesses in our current economy are taking away amenities to save money, but Super Duck is devoted to not only maintaining every amenity they offer but is consistently looking for new enhancements to this location as well.

“We’ve learned from our parents that you can’t sacrifice the service and quality of what you offer,” shares Hannah, “so we’re continuing to look for ways to make the Super Duck experience really exceptional for every car that comes through.”

Hannah and Patricia take advice from their parents seriously because they know how credible they are; Their dad first owned a car wash 30 years ago! They both laugh though when they describe how his first wash was nothing like Super Duck is today.

“It was just a 50′ tunnel with four blowers attached to a gas station,” they share. “It was much more of an add-on service.”

About 15 years later, their mom began working with commercial real estate and was given the opportunity to sell a friend’s car wash business. This experience set her on a fast track to exclusively selling cash washes for the next 10 years.

“Car washes are very male-dominated,” shares Patricia, “but she built her clients one at a time and was eventually selling for the biggest names in the car washing industry.”

Patricia and Hannah share that the first car wash their family set out to launch together opened in Montgomery, Alabama in 2015. Hannah had just completed her undergraduate degree and Patricia was nearing completion as well.

They worked diligently to create a dream car wash business together and have since opened eight more car wash locations, with their eighth location here in Madison and their ninth location in nearby Hazel Green.

When asked why Patricia and Hannah made the decision to move to Madison and open a location here, they both smile and share that they had known for years that they wanted to open one here.

“We’d been watching this city change for years, and we felt confident that we could add value to the community through what we had to offer.”

Not all of their car washes throughout the southeast region are named Super Duck though. In fact, this location was originally supposed to capture a dinosaur theme just like one of their Georgia locations.

The dinosaur theme didn’t quite match the general aesthetics and deep history of the Clift Farm area though, so the sisters returned to the drawing board to consider the Madison location’s name. They really wanted to honor what was already in place within Clift Farm.

“We began considering a farm theme, and then one day I went to Verizon to open my cell phone account, and the guy working there shared that they had ducks at a nearby hardware store! They then brought in baby chicks, and I knew instantly that that was it!” shares Patricia with a smile.

“I know it had to be a duck theme. With ponds all around our location, it made perfect sense.”

And with that, Super Duck Car Wash was born.

This family-owned and operated business says that its mission, vision, and values were built out as a team, and they funnel every decision they make through what they created together.

Patricia and Hannah both share that they are passionate about not just operating a business within the city of Madison, but they deeply care about being involved within the city of Madison in any way they can.

“We love sponsoring local high school teams and supporting the city in many ways.”
