What it is: The 2026 Summer Art Class Series offers rising middle and high school students a creative community where they can build real artistic skills beyond the traditional classroom. Students can choose from five focused classes: Handcrafted Ceramic Vessels (hand-building, glazing, and kiln-fired functional ceramics), Oil Painting Techniques (color theory, layering, and studio practices), Watercolor Painting (wet-on-wet, light and shadow, still life or nature scenes), Figure Drawing (proportion, gesture, and anatomy), and Portrait Drawing (facial structure, shading, and expressive detail).
