Live Christmas Concert + Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Two Events from Building Church Open to the Community

All Things Madison | Live Christmas Concert + Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Two Events from Building Church Open to the Community

Without a doubt, my favorite Christmas tradition of all time is attending a candlelight Christmas Eve service. I’ve been a member of many churches during my life, but I can’t remember ever not being in person on Christmas Eve with a lit candle singing Silent Night with a room full of people around me.

Just typing out these words makes me giddy because it evokes this deep-down joy that’s always found in the holiday season, regardless of where we’ve lived (former active duty military family), which side of the family we’ve spent it with, or which church we’ve attended. Live Christmas music is one of my absolute favorite things.

If you’re looking for a church this month to get your fill of live Christmas music, Building Church (located on the edge of Madison on Slaughter Road) has two in-person opportunities that they’d like to offer the entire community and surrounding areas.

In addition to regular Sunday morning services, Building Church will offer “Sounds of Christmas” this upcoming Sunday evening, December 13th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. This free concert is designed to be a fun, memorable Christmas event that is open to anyone that is interested.

Sounds of Christmas Concert

In alignment with CDC guidelines, seating will be limited to half capacity. Though tickets are free, reservations are required to ensure socially distanced seating.

Want to enjoy the event but have little ones that you need to wrangle? (I know the struggle!) You’re in luck! Free childcare will be provided for kids ages 0-5. There will be an opportunity on your registration form to select “Child Age 0-5”, which lets the hosts know to expect your child for some fun while you enjoy the concert.

Get excited to sit back (or stand up and dance!), relax, and enjoy Christmas carols of all kinds, both secular and religious. Event coordinators promise that there will be plenty of tunes that even your children recognize and to feel free to bring them along with you to enjoy the music if you’d like.

Here’s the link to sign up! Please remember that seating is limited, so sign up as soon as you know you’d like to attend. 🙂

Here’s a quick video that explains more.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at Building Church

Building Church understands that Christmas may look very different for many families this year, which is one reason they are still very excited to offer a candlelight Christmas Eve service for anyone that would like to attend.

Like the Sounds of Christmas concert, reservations are required to ensure safe, socially distant seating options.

The evening will consist of taking communion (sealed and individually packaged), walking through the Nativity story, and enjoying live music, all with a tone that is geared towards families.

Whether this is your family’s tradition or this is the year you’d like to start a new tradition, event coordinators and the pastors at Building Church want you to know that all are welcome.

Tickets are free but reservations are required due to social distance seating. Childcare will be provided for kids ages 0-5. Seating is limited, so please register your family as soon as possible.
