I’ve never been one to routinely invest in my skin for two reasons: 1.) I don’t know what products I need at home versus what I should be doing medical-grade at a spa and 2.) I don’t want to “shoot in the dark” and invest in products and/or treatments that may or may not improve my skin for the long haul. I love playing with makeup, but I know that having healthy skin is the most important!
From Botox to micro-needling to dermaplaning to various facials and so much more, achieving a healthy facial complexion can be confusing to achieve, especially since no two people have the same needs.
I had an audible “ah ha” moment at my computer about a month ago though as I was scrolling Premiere Dental Spa’s menu of aesthetic services and saw the option to book a $25 skin analysis.
I immediately booked using Premiere’s easy online booking tool. I picked my date and time and then showed up in between work assignments! I had a full face of makeup on when I arrived and wasn’t required to take it off.
During the appointment (which only took about 15 minutes) we discussed my past and current skin issues as well as how I’ve previously treated my skin, both at home and at a spa.
I assumed that in order to achieve improved skin complexion I would need frequent (and expensive!) spa treatments, but I learned that my assumption was wrong. The tech then suggested an avenue forward that included both at-home and spa options that will work together to help improve my skin.
I was pleasantly surprised that the treatments needed to achieve a better skin complexion were much less invasive and expensive than I imagine. The frequency at which I would receive these suggested treatments was also less than I imagined. Win/win!
When we finished with the consultation, I was asked (without any pressure!) if I wanted to go ahead and begin the suggested treatment plan, and I quickly said yes (knowing that my likelihood to call back and book wouldn’t be likely because I get so busy that I put the task of booking an appointment on the backburner!)
The $25 that I spend on the analysis actually goes toward any service that you book which was an additional pleasant surprise!
Considering this, I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t do the skin analysis before booking a service. The analysis helps ensure that the money you are investing into a treatment is actually money well spent.
