If your child doesn’t know how to swim, October is the perfect time to start. I don’t take the opportunity to share about swim programs lightly; Most of you know I am very serious about swim safety!
Here’s the reality: If you want your child to be water competent (I.E., NOT JUST ABLE TO SPLASH), next summer is already slipping away.
SafeSplash Swim School is enrolling in weekly lessons at both its Huntsville facility on Leeman Ferry Road and the Madison Hospital Wellness Center here in Madison. Their curriculum is designed for consistent development as a swimmer, as water safety is a lifelong priority.
Here’s some quick math for you that I think is so important!
From now until Memorial Day 2026, there are approximately 35 weeks remaining. If your kiddo starts now, they’ll receive about 35 lessons to develop water comfort, physical strength/endurance, and fundamental swim skills! By Memorial Day, your little one could be ready to actually SWIM (not just float!)
For some reason, springtime is when all of the parents come out of the woodwork looking for swim lessons, but my goodness, that’s almost too late if water competence by summer is the goal!
Here are some stats I’ve learned throughout the last nine years as a passionate swim safety advocate. Our toddler almost drowned in 2016, so I’ve learned a thing or two since then about drownings.
If you want your child to be safe, capable, and confident in the water by summer 2026, enroll today at either SafeSplash location.
30+ lessons can make a massive difference!
