This content is personal for me. This swim program is the only one I will currently share and partner with. In 2016, we experienced a near-drowning accident with our two-year-old daughter that altered our lives forever. I have become an outspoken swim-safety advocate and desire for all parents to prioritize life-saving swim lessons for their infants, toddlers, children, and beyond.
Let me tell you about SafeSplash!
If you are looking for swim lessons in Huntsville, AL, SafeSplash Swim School is a wonderful place to start. It will likely be the only swim school you join because it’s hard to find anything better in the area!
Many parents want a program that teaches skills that help swimmers of any age save themselves in the water while building confidence. SafeSplash checks the box for all of that and more!
Earlier this year, the Madison Wellness Center closed, and Madison’s SafeSplash’s temporary location closed with it. The good news is that a new nearby SafeSplash location will soon be announced and is expected to open by the end of the year!
Right now, families can enroll at the gorgeous, SafeSplash Huntsville location on Leeman Ferry Road, which is open and accepting new swimmers from across North Alabama!
Swimming is not just a sport or a fun “free time” activity, but it’s truly a life skill.
Kids will be around water their whole lives, and not just during the summer at pools, lakes, beaches, and vacations. Children will explore ponds, go fishing, or wander into a neighbor’s backyard with a swimming pool.
Formal swim lessons lower the risk of drowning and teach children how to stay calm and safe in the water. So important!
Knowing how to swim is also just plain fun! It helps swimmers build confidence, strengthen their bodies, and develop self-control. The benefits to learning how to be a strong swimmer are endless.
For adults, swimming is one of the best full-body workouts and is low-impact on the joints. It improves heart health, breathing, all-over strength, and balance. Wins across the board!
Not all swim schools are the same. SafeSplash is hyper-focused on water competency, meaning it teaches real, measurable (!!) skills that help swimmers stay safe.
When you enroll your child at SafeSplash, you can expect a very clear, level-based curriculum that your swimmer will work through. You can expect highly skilled, well-trained instructors who are among the best I’ve seen. Their standards are high for instructors! You can expect small class sizes (or even private lessons if desired), a step-by-step skill program, and a constant focus on safety.
The goal is not to rush children through levels but to build strong fundamentals that last a lifetime!

SafeSplash also offers an Adaptive Aquatics program for swimmers with physical, developmental, or sensory differences.
Instructors receive specialized training to adjust their teaching. Lessons move at the swimmer’s pace and focus on safety, comfort, and incredibly measurable progress.
Children on the autism spectrum face a higher risk of drowning, which makes swim lessons even more important. This program helps families feel safer and more supported on an individual level.
While many classes are offered weekly year-round, SafeSplash also offers camps and clinics that swimmers can attend daily for a week! Click here for dates and information about many upcoming “SWIMJAM” camps and clinics in Huntsville!
Did you know that SafeSplash now offers a pre-competitive swim program that bridges the gap between swim lessons and competitive swimming? Incredible! Please fill out this contact form for more information.
