Nick Hall, the owner of Holiday Lighting Solutions, started hanging Christmas lights in 2007.

He’s only 21 though, which means his passion for what he does stems all the way back to his childhood.

“I’ve always been obsessed with Christmas lights and would decorate my family’s home year after year,” shared Hall, who says that his family still has one of the most popular residential light displays in North Alabama (click here to read about the Hall Family Light Show).

Hall eventually decided to turn his passion for Christmas lights and design into a full-blown business and launched in 2020. In his first year, he had enough customers to keep him busy for months on end, from general design to install to take down, and now he’s more thrilled than ever to see homes and businesses alike lit up across North Alabama this holiday season with his creations.

Hall describes Holiday Lighting Solutions as a complete light service that does design, installation, removal, storage, and all maintenance. He uses LED and commercial-grade materials and offers fully customizable displays.

“We work with you to come up with a design and/or theme for your home,” says Hall, whose Christmas lights installation business specializes in everything from traditional white lights that line a home’s frame all the way to animated displays with 60′ tall Christmas trees.

Hall says that he always hoped that he would work with Christmas lights full time but never expected to see his dreams come to fruition so quickly. He shared that he was working in production when the pandemic hit, and his career slowed down tremendously.

“I wound up with a lot of free time for a few months, so I decided to build everything out and see if I could start doing this full-time.”

Hall says that word of mouth and general exposure on the first few homes did the trick with exploding his business in the first year, and he knew that he was ready to really pursue his dream.

“We went out and started doing installs, and people would see us and ask us if we could do their house too.”

When asked if Holiday Lighting Solutions is fully licensed and ensured, Hall laughs says responded that “he has every insurance under the sun” and that his customers can feel good knowing that Hall is doing everything the right way.

Removal services are done on whatever timeline the customer wants, whether that’s December 26th or January 31st.
