I absolutely love staying organized and having systems. I love tidy spaces, and I actually don’t mind doing the work myself. So, if this is the case, why have I hired Life Simplified three times to come in and do these things for me?
I would love to tell you why, because I think you might relate!
There have been some projects in my home, such as a very chaotic playroom (two different times!), my husband’s side of the closet, and a really annoying spot in our garage, that were so full of junk and dysfunctional that I honestly just did not want to touch them. I wanted someone else’s brain to figure out how to tackle these areas that were bringing me frustration.

Once you reach out, they’ll take a look at your space in person (or get a description of it), and then they’ll let you know how many organizers they recommend for the job (and how long they think it’ll take).
They have an hourly rate, which depends on the number of organizers working, and they’ll provide a very reasonable estimate of the total time they believe it’ll take.
I promise you that you are not writing a blank check, but that you’ll have a good understanding of what the project will probably cost, so no worries there!
The Life Simplified team will also let you know if your space requires any specific supplies, such as extra bins, baskets, or shelving. I know this because I had to order a few things to make the job even better. But they can also work with what you already have. Their goal is NOT to force you into overbuying or push you into purchasing expensive products; Promise! Their goal is honestly just to make your space work better.
One of the biggest questions I’ve gotten over the last few years with Life Simplified is whether or not you have to be involved in the project once they arrive at your home. The answer is: it’s totally up to you!
When they organized our garage and one of our closets, my husband stayed involved and helped make decisions along the way. I thought this was going to be something very annoying for him (since I was the one who signed us up!), but he actually really enjoyed it and definitely loved the increased functionality of the space afterwards.
But when it came time to tackle our kids’ playroom (x2!) I stepped aside and let the kids work with their team.
I joke with all of my friends that some of the best money I’ve ever spent is to have someone come in and get rid of all my kids’ toys, but it’s kind of true. 😉 When I clean the playroom myself, it’s always a struggle. My kids suddenly become emotionally attached to every single half-missing toy, but with Karen’s team, it’s so different.
The kids somehow feel respected and excited to let things go because they see what is happening. The last time they came, they filled seven trash bags for either the donation center or the trash can (for broken toys), and my kids happily parted with them. No begging to keep things. Everyone was happy!
What impressed me even more is how the kids used the playroom after all that work is done! They could actually find what they were looking for (gasp!). They had labeled bins, everything was visible, and there was a system in place that made sense for them.
Life Simplified doesn’t just come in and clean. They make things functional and make spaces make sense.
And it’s fabulous!
To this day, when I tell my kids that we are cleaning the playroom “the way Life Simplified did it”, they know what that means. We don’t just shove stuff in drawers (though, of course, that occasionally happens because we are not perfect). But we can get it reset quickly because a system was built specifically for our family in that room.
Karen Wright is the founder of Life Simplified. She’s a Certified Professional Organizer and a Certified Relocation & Transition Specialist who has been doing this for years and years. She’s basically the OG here in our area, and it’s obvious she knows her stuff. Her team is made up of people who have worked with her literally for years. They are full-time professionals who know exactly what they’re doing and are so beyond fabulous to work with. They are kind, respectful, and excel at working with both adults and children.
I have seen them working with three-year-olds and 90-year-olds. Literally, I have been around them while working with both parties!
They will not judge or shame your space, I absolutely promise you that. They are there to help you take control of a space that makes you crazy; It’s literally what they do for a living!
Additionally, we are talking about a few hours at most when it comes to the time most of these projects take. Life Simplified is so speedy!
Can’t recommend this team enough. If certain areas of your home are stressing you out or driving you nuts, please consider calling them! There is zero chance you’ll regret hiring them. It’s one of those rare services that’s truly worth it.
