The Best Pizza in Madison, Alabama

Pizza in Madison, Alabama: From popular chains to one-of-a-kind local joints, here is a quick round-up of restaurants to grab a slice of pizza from as soon as you can.

Marco’s Pizza

  • Available for carry-out, drive-thru window, or delivery

This nationwide chain is undoubtedly the most popular franchised pizza place in town. Known for great deals, fast delivery, and a delicious product, Marco’s is generally thought of as a crowd-pleasing option. Marco’s has two locations in Madison with a full menu available online.

Sam and Greg’s

This Hughes Road staple is one of just two locations (the other one – the original – is in downtown Huntsville). They are known for a spacious two-story dining room, a large patio, and a vast menu of hand-tossed pizzas and more. Don’t forget to grab some homemade gelato to enjoy for dessert!

Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza

  • Available for dine-in service, carry out/curbside (order over the phone or online), or delivery via GrubSouth

What started as a mobile pizza oven just a few short years ago has turned into one of North Alabama’s favorite pizza joints. Earth and Stone’s Madison location opened in 2017 and features all kinds of unique pies, including “The Porkenhammer” and “The Pappedew”. They offer way more than just pizza with a full menu listed online

Cork and Crust Pizzeria

  • Available for indoor and outdoor dine-in service, carry-out/curbside, and delivery via GrubSouth

Pre-pandemic, this place was almost always full. Their prime location on County Line Road lends itself well to the explosive growth happening on that side of town. Guests often go to Cork and Crust for two reasons: their excellent Sunday brunch and their pizza. All varieties are served in either 10″ or 14″, and they even have a “build your own” option. Their pies are hand-tossed, homemade, and classic.

Goodland Pour House

  • Available for indoor and outdoor dine-in service and carry out/curbside

As soon as this restaurant opened last fall, I had a handful of friends all buzzing about Goodland Pour House’s “Notorious P.I.E” pizza. It didn’t take us long to check it out, and this Detriot-style deep-dish pizza completely won us over. If you like unique topping combinations (yes, please!), you absolutely cannot miss Goodland Pour House. Their full dinner menu is available online.

Rome2Greece

This locally-owned Hughes Road favorite has a full list of classic pizzas, including “build your own” options. Pizzas are all 7″ and personal sized. Pair it with a delicious greek salad, and don’t forget to save room for Baklava for dessert!

MOD Pizza

This nationwide chain boasts just two locations in Alabama, with one of them right here in Madison. Use their app to order and receive all kinds of special deals and discounts. The artesian-styles pizzas are made on-demand and available in three sizes: the Mini (6″), the MOD (11″), and the Mega (11″ thick crust).
