For well over a year, All Things Madison has dreamed about having a passion project that would support our area’s local animal rescue foundations.
We are “pet parents” to two precious rescue animals who were both in need of loving homes. Teddy, our 14-year-old chihuahua-pug mix, and Jingle, our one-year-old sweet cat, have become beloved members of the family and were both adopted from non-profit rescue organizations in Madison.
Teddy was adopted from Madison Animal Rescue Foundation on a spontaneous Saturday morning in April 2012 outside of a pet store (now out of business) on HWY 72.
He had been adopted and “returned” seven times due to his fiesty disposition (he was so terrified after what we suspect was abuse he suffered from), but we immediately saw straight through his defensive exterior and took that baby home with us. He is pressed up against my left leg as I type this article with his favorite stuffed animal resting under his chin. I’m convinced he’ll be a world record holder for the oldest dog to ever live. 🙂 It’s hard to imagine my life without him.
Jingle was adopted from A New Leash on Life after she was spayed by one of my close friends, who is an area veterinarian. My friend knew that we were looking to adopt a cat for our oldest daughter, who had been begging for one for years. After spending some time snuggling her after her surgery, my friend, Dr. Erin Brown, knew this would be the perfect cat for our family. My husband Jamie picked her up from her foster mom on Christmas Eve 2021, and we gifted her to our children on Christmas morning.
These organizations and other rescue foundations in the area work tirelessly to find loving areas for homeless animals, and they couldn’t do what they do without support from the community.
For this reason, All Things Madison has created a pet line of merchandise so that our four-legged friends can enjoy representing our city and state as well.
ALL THINGS MADISON PET LEASH
Heavy research was poured into this leash’s creation. Featuring the two branded colors for All Things Madison with the state of Alabama, this quality leash is durable for years of use. It’s available in two sizes; We recommend the small-width leash for pets under 25 pounds and the large-width leash for pets over 25 pounds.
- Two widths for the perfect size for your pet (Small is 5/8″ and Large is 1″)
- Both sizes are 6′ long
- Heavy-duty stitching
- Padded handle for comfort
ALL THINGS MADISON PET TOY
We are also giddy over our embroidered Camelia speaker pet toy. The Camelia is the Alabama state flower and was hand-drawn for All Things Madison. Once printed on a t-shirt, it is now embroidered on a soft pillow and packed with stuffing and a squeaker toy inside!
- Stitched design, not screen printed
- Squeaks – dogs love it!
- Great for indoor or outdoor play, for both water and land activities
- 55 lbs of pull pressure
- Ultra lightweight and machine washable
All net proceeds from the Camelia squeaker toy will be donated monthly to area rescue foundations such as A New Leash on Life and Madison Animal Rescue Foundation.

Pet items will ship the next business day following your order. We think these would make fantastic Christmas gifts for your favorite pet and hope you love them as much as we do!
