Situated on Slaughter Road near the intersection of Eastview Drive sits a locally owned and operated business with a menu of services that may be of unique interest to each one of the thousands of people who pass it each day.
Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center, a medical facility that strives to help each patient look and/or feel their absolute best via non-surgical options, offers a menu of services that is so widespread, so state of the art, and so effective that the owners say their organic growth has yet to slow down.
Owner Chad Gilliam, M.M.S., PA-C says that he originally opened his practice (formerly known as Madison Family Care) 13 years because he wanted to offer a primary care option that was based on functional medicine. He desired to listen intently to his patients, figure out the root cause of their issues, help them stay off of drugs that simply covered up symptoms, and then offer an alternative solution that hopefully got to the root of the problem.
“We started with one patient,” Gilliam shares, “and we just kept building over the years.”
He says that his practice was the first in Madison County to offer Biote Hormone Pellet Therapy, and he quickly began to see that there was a great need for it based on how rapidly the service grew.
“People began feeling better, and then they wanted to look better!” Gilliam laughs.
Gilliam and his team of physicians and staff eventually outgrew their former location and rebranded their new location as Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center, which offers a combination of wellness services and medical-grade aesthetic services.
“Our mission statement is that we help you feel and look your best,” shares Gilliam’s wife Dotty Gilliam, who is co-owner of the facility as well as an Aesthetic Consultant.
From medical grade facials to weight loss services to incontinence solutions to sexual health options and so much more, Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center is truly a one-stop shop for those who are looking for a boost in the way they physically feel and/or look.

Regarding the functional medicine side of the house, PA Chad Gilliam says that “we look at you from a whole body standpoint” and attempt to find the root cause of various issues.
He says that he sees more patients who are struggling with hormonal imbalances than any other issue.
“People are interested in being healthy and feeling good, and they’re finding out that they don’t have to live in misery every day,” shares Gilliam.
His clinic has now successfully treated thousands of patients suffering from menopause, andropause, and general hormone imbalances via the BioTe hormone replacement therapy pellets which only need replacing every 3-6 months and offer results that patients feel for months.
“Women come in to see us who are in menopause and experiencing hot flashes, low libido, brain fog, insomnia, and body aches, and we’re able to help them feel better by about the four-week mark.”
He says that often people start feeling results from BioTe as soon as two weeks after receiving treatment.
Gilliam explains that at the six-week appointment after introducing the pellets to the bloodstream, he sees his patients again for bloodwork and often discovers that he’s “their new best friend!”
“I want to help them for what they’re here for, so I’ll make sure we do that!”
Another popular service at Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center is its weight loss options.
“Our patients come in for a consultation, tell us what they’ve tried to lose weight, and then we formulate a plan together that’s custom tailored to their lifestyle and goals.”
He says that some weight loss plans are natural while others may involve a prescription or weekly injection.
When asked what services they feel are five-star but also a little less known about, Gilliam quickly shares that their sexual health options have been a game-changer for nearly every patient.
The P-Shot for men and O-Shot for women (two types of platelet-rich plasma treatments) are a couple of their most popular treatment options for optimizing sexual health and enjoyment.
Their website describes these treatments as “Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is known for its rejuvenation effects; the treatment uses your own blood to release growth factors that help stimulate stem cells, collagen production, and ultimately tissue repair. Many who suffer from decreased sexual pleasure notice significant sexual enhancement from the P-Shot and O-Shot.”

When asked about various other functional wellness and medical options at the clinic, Gilliam says that they are constantly investing in “cutting-edge technology and the newest and greatest stuff.”
“We are always on the forefront of medicine, always keeping up with our continuing education each year, and looking for what is new.”
Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center not does accept traditional health insurance but does have an in-house insurance option of $65/month that ensures you have regular visits with your provider, have your bloodwork drawn, monitor your thyroid and hormones, and manage your health with functional medicine.
BOTOX & FILLERS
Dotty Gilliam shares that her side of the house sees patients for their second most popular service at Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center, which is botox and other fillers.
“Botox is studied all over the world and is actually the second most studied drug next to Aspirin,” shares Dotty. “Botox has been used aesthetically for 25 years but just recently exploded in popularity.”
When asked what the process looks like to begin receiving Botox at Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center, Dotty says that one will first come in for a consultation and then continue to come in for treatment every 3-4 months.
“Almost everybody tells us that they wish they would have started getting Botox way sooner. Everybody loves it!”
Dotty says that she’s recently been seeing patients that are beginning Botox treatments as early as 18 years old as preventative care.
“The ideal goal is to prevent, which is much easier than correcting.”
Various fillers are also very popular; Dotty regularly has patients visit who desire cheek filler, under-eye filler, lip filler, and more.
“Most of my patients don’t want duck lips or anything too dramatic,” shares Dotty. “If someone ends up with those results, they’ve specifically asked for them.”
She says that most patients who want lip enhancements receive just a fifth of a teaspoon, which is “just enough to enhance your pout.” She also says that patients are offered numbing options ahead of time so that they’re very comfortable.
One area of service that both Chad and Dotty are extremely proud of is their facial opportunities and overall skincare options.
“We have four of the very best estheticians who are very experienced,” says Dotty who continues to share that one of their employees has over 20 years of experience.
“We do medical grade everything that gets you results and really helps you see changes in your skin.”
Chad continues to share that facials at Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center aren’t like others that are more or less designed for polishing and relaxing.
“You are going to see really significant skin changes,” he says. “We have strong tools and ingredients and the best machines and equipment you can find.”
Dotty explains that their hydrafacial machine is one of the best machines they carry. She says that with routine hydrafacials, one will see pore sizes reduced, incredible cell turnover, more vibrancy in the skin, improved texture, and fewer fine lines and wrinkles.
“It’s the newest, baddest machine on the market for hydrafacials,” laughs Chad.
When asked what Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center doesn’t offer when it comes to improving various areas of your physical appearance, both Chad and Dotty take a long pause before answering that they really do strive to offer it all.
“Anything under the umbrella of looking your best, we offer it all on a medical-grade, professional level,” says Dotty.
I’ve toured Madison Wellness & Aesthetic Center a couple of times, and both times I’ve been in complete awe over the skincare and make-up room!
In this area, guests participate in having their skin scanned with state-of-the-art technology that analyzes every detail and history about one’s skin. This skin analysis machine is called the Visia Skin Analysis.
Dotty shares that it’s essentially “an x-ray of your skin.”
After this first step is completed, you will be matched with at-home skincare products and make-up that are designed to not only combat facial skin issues but also complement one’s face and are good for your skin too!
“Every product has antioxidants, and none of it will clog your pores. Some of the products even have diamond powder in them, so you’re actually getting a real glow!”
Dotty says that their products are priced competitively and are more affordable than many medical-grade skincare and make-up lines.
“You’re going to improve your skin tone with your make-up, and we’re going to teach you how to apply it all too!”
When asked what motivates Chad and Dotty to continue improving and growing their practice as owners, they share that seeing their patients transform in front of their eyes simply because they’re feeling better physically is all the motivation they need.
They’re also really proud of their local small business and what they’re able to offer the community while enhancing the lives of many people.
“To help them look good, feel good, and have optimized health is the best.”
Madison Wellness and Aesthetic Center is made up of 22+ employees, including three medical doctors. The Gilliams are excited about the future of their business and can’t wait to meet more residents who are excited to look and feel better soon.
