Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 27th, 2021 because the Madison Chamber of Commerce is excitedly moving forward with their first-ever Chamber Color Run, a community-wide, family-friendly, outdoor event that is sure to make one’s weekend extra colorful and cheerful.
A Health Fair will follow the 5k race and 1-mile fun run and will feature food trucks, many vendors, activities, and much more.
The certified 5K race will begin at Madison City Schools Stadium at 8 a.m. and loop through downtown Madison. The 1-mile fun run is perfect for Madison’s youngest runners and will begin at 9 a.m.
A few things to note about Madison’s Color Run
- Strollers are more than welcome, but please leave your furry friends at home.
- Masks will be required until the ran begins. Temperatures will also be checked upon arrival.
- There will be a cash prize given to the school with the highest participation. The registration form has a section where one may designate a school affiliation, which is open to students, parents, grandparents, neighbors, friends, etc. Simply jot down which school you’d like your registration to count towards! Easy peasy.
- Packet pick-ups will take place on Thursday and Friday before the race. Please reference the sign-up page for dates and times.
- Shirts are included with all registrations completed by March 15th. Part of the fun of a color run is getting your race shirt all decorated with flying colored powder, so don’t miss out on your complimentary shirt because you waited too long to register. I’d suggest knocking it out as soon as you finish reading this article. Checkmark!
