This is an idea that I have heard a countless number of times throughout the last 12 months as I have slowly but surely taken the time to get to know the unbelievable team behind Jennifer Daniels Photography. This one phrase has completely reshaped what I knew (or rather assumed) about boudoir photography.

I first visited Jennifer Daniels Photography studio in the spring of 2023 to learn about their luxury boudoir photography services. I’ll never forget leaving their studio feeling giddy to pick up the phone and call several ladies closest to me and share what I’d learn about this luxury studio. Just one tour and conversation with Jennifer Daniels and her team was all I need to realize that what I’d assumed about boudoir was all wrong.
In short, I assumed boudoir photography sessions were taken of women in intimate attire as a gift for their partners. I never had an opinion of it one way or another as it was something I didn’t know much about.

In a nutshell, Jennifer Daniels Photography is a luxury boudoir photographer that offers professional hair and makeup services before every private photography session. Her studio has several sets, including beautiful couches, beds, mirrors, chairs, even a rain room (more on this later!) Though she has a closet of accessories that clients are welcome to wear in their shoots, clients are encouraged to bring their own outfits. Light refreshments are provided, and the JDP team takes their time walking you through every step of the photo, from where to get changed, what put on when, how to pose, and more.
If you search online for a boudoir photographer in the area, many will come up. What I’ve learned very clearly though is that your boudoir photography experience is just as important as the photographs you receive back due to the intimate nature of styled shoots like this.
Jennifer Daniels Photography takes care of each client beginning several weeks out from your session. JDP team members spend time scheduling phone calls to discuss outfit suggestions and giving helpful suggestions about where to shop and what types of outfits may be the most suitable, comfortable, and flattering. They make time to ensure they’ve answered every question under the sun about any discomfort or timidity you may be feeling leading up to your session.
The texts are frequent, checking in on any questions that you’ve thought of as you prepare for your session. The wonderful (and I mean wonderful) ladies don’t bat an eye at any questions, and after photographing hundreds of clients over the last few years, there is no question big or small that they haven’t been asked.
If someone were to ask me about my biggest, lightning bolt takeaway from working with and learning about Jennifer Daniels Photography over the last year, I would immediately have my answer for you: I have been ABSOLUTELY FLOORED by their constant messaging of “this is for you.”

So, let’s talk get down to the nitty gritty of what a session looks like and what you can expect.
Your session will generally last about 90 minutes. When you arrive, you’ll be warmly (so warmly!) greeted by the awesome team. Refreshments will also be served. You’ll give the team a look at your outfits and then place your items on a designated cart before it’s rolled back to your changing room (the service is like a five-star hotel!)
Next, you’ll likely be instructed with what to change into first and then given a robe to wear before being whisked off to your professional hair and makeup session with the incredible RELOOK ARTISTRY.
Next up, it’s time for the shoot! Jennifer and her team will tip toe into the photography part to ensure your comfort 100% of the way. Jennifer’s professional experience shines bright in so many areas, with one of those areas being her direction. She shares with her clients how to pose to the tee, ensuring their complete satsifaction with their images. She gives clear direction about what to do with your arms, legs, facial expression, and more. There will never be a moment that you have to wonder what to do. If you’ve seen Jennifer’s outstanding work, you can trust that she will create the same for you if you trust her vision and direction.
Even the dressing room is supplied with everything you could need!
When the shoot is over, you’ll schedule a time to come back for a private viewing session, which is an entire experience in itself not to be overlooked!
When you arrive for your private image viewing session, you’ll enter a separate room where you’ll be greeted by a team member that you’ll have interacted and chatted with many times prior. The room is comfortable with products galore to consider purchasing. Tissues are also prepped as many clients often become emotional as they cite that they have never seen themselves the way the camera saw them.
Standard retouching is included for those who desire to have cellulite, scars, stretch marks, etc. removed from photos, though this is completely optional and up to the individual client.
Product options range from luxury albums to little black books to teaser art, a seven-image viewfinder, crystal blocks, portrait paintings, digital image files, and so much more. The investment guide is beautiful and very clear.
You will receive your investment guide ahead of time so that you are prepared to make your purchase after viewing your stunning images. Jennifer’s team members will take their time with you, ensuring you feel confident and excited about your final products!

I originally mentioned that I assumed boudoir photography functioned as a gift only, and while the JDP team agrees that it’s a gift like no other, they also equally view the boudoir photography experience as a gift for you.
