Growing up as a teen in Madison in the early 2000s, I remember the birth of Insanity Skatepark on Hughes Road. I understood way back when that there were big plans in the works for creating a “one-stop entertainment shop” of sorts for our community one day, and I remained hopeful.
Fast forward to 2018 when I returned with my husband and children to plant roots in this area, and I learned that Insanity wasn’t the quiet little corner of town that it once was a decade ago. Insanity had completely rebranded and expanded in 2015 into Insanity Complex, which is now rockin’ and rollin’ as a city leader in family entertainment, birthday parties, and premium event space galore.
With this multi-purpose venue right here in our community, Madison residents never have to leave our city to enjoy a day or night out for indoor and outdoor fun. From preschool-aged children to grandparents, there is truly something for everyone to dive into at Insanity.

Shopping
Shelby Arias, the marketing and sales director for Insanity Complex, recently shared that “we have two pro shops, include our Asylum Pro Shop”.
This full skateboard shop is a licensed Vans and VNLA dealer and carries over 79 brands for skateboards, longboards, and Penny boards, according to their website.
The second pro shop on site is a rollerskating shop with capabilities to fulfill a wide range of custom orders.

Event Space & Birthday Parties
Arias believes that the event spaces at Insanity Complex are amongst some of the biggest hidden gems in our community.
“We are often overlooked as ‘just’ a skatepark, and so many people don’t know that we actually put on high-end, black table cloth events!”
Arias shared that Insanity prides itself on booking companies for their events year after year because of their ability to do it all, from in-house catering to a full-service bar to the complete set-up and break-down.
“We’ve even had rehearsal dinners and weddings and love it,” shared Arias.
Arias shared that for companies already beginning to make plans for the end-of-year corporate parties to consider Insanity. They offer two optional bars in their large event space as well as portable bars that can be placed all over the facility, both indoors and outdoors. Insanity Complex is fully licensed by ABC.
In addition to their large event space, Insanity Complex has two smaller event spaces available to rent that have direct access to the parking lot and include private restrooms. One room even features an indoor fireplace. Those interested in these spaces can rent one room or both rooms depending on their event-space needs.
“We are an extremely family-friendly place,” says Arias. “People can bring their children to their corporate events and let them enjoy the on-site options for kids while Mom and Dad are in the event space having a good time.”
There are also multiple birthday party rooms right off the arcade area that are perfect for serving food, opening gifts, and much more. Birthday party packages are available.
Stay Up-To-Date
Insanity Complex is currently open for business, fully complying with CDC guidelines, and working hard to keep their social media channels up-to-date with special promotions and events. Arias says that watching their Facebook page is the best way to learn about upcoming happenings at Insanity Complex.
