As someone who has moved around a handful of times as an adult, I can empathize with those who are on the hunt here for new hairstylists in Madison, Alabama. I risk sounding dramatic when I say this, but it’s always one of the most difficult parts of moving somewhere new. Pricing can often be confusing since it can vary based on each client and his or her needs, and having to sit in a chair with a stranger for upwards of an hour or more can be downright intimidating.
Finding a trusted hairstylist though is such a win and always worth the hassle of the search. If you’re in the market for a new hairstylist, I hope to make that quest a bit easier for you! I asked the All Things Madison crowd on Instagram for fantastic hairdresser suggestions in Madison, and they did not disappoint!
Below is a list of hairstylists in Madison, Alabama that comes highly recommended by current clients. Many clients have also included a round-about price of how much they typically spend, what services they receive, and what they enjoy so much about their hairdresser. Hope it’s helpful!

Beth at LR Salon
From a client: “I’m low maintenance with my hair, so just a cut and style for me. My friend goes there too and they really know their stuff about color as well. I love the vibe of the salon. It’s fun, funky, and really relaxed. There’s movie, music, and television show memorabilia everywhere. It’s a very laidback vibe!
Beth is the owner and she’s so down to earth and fun to talk to that you aren’t forcing any conversation. They all welcome you and are open to any crazy ideas you may have about your hair. I spend less than $60 for a cut and style. (I want to say that it’s usually only $40 but I always tip well!)”

From a client: “I get haircuts from her for $35 which includes shampoo and style. Sometimes I get lowlights for $100 which includes the haircut. My other friends have started going to her too! She’s so, so sweet and always works with my schedule. I’ve been going to her for about 10 years!”
Callie Fowler at Society Salon
From a client: “I usually just do a cut and style which is typically $35 before gratuity, but I know she has many different services. (I believe she does extensions, which is unique.) Callie just makes the whole salon experience easy! A lot of times going to nice salons can be intimidating, but she always makes you feel welcomed. She has pretty open availability to work around your schedule, too. Every time I leave happy with the result and her styling is always 10x better than what I could do at home!”

Jes Hutson at Midtown Salon Suites
From a client: “Jes’s salon is called the Lanai and it’s Golden Girl themed! I believe a haircut is around $30 and I’ve had all over color and highlights. I believe both were around $80-$90. All of her prices are listed on her Instagram too. I absolutely love that she continues to develop her knowledge of hair, products, and other certifications. I really feel like I can trust her! I have curly hair and I’ve had too many bad haircuts, but she’s amazing. I have referred so many friends to her and they all love her too!”
From another client: “I love that Jes is so personable. She really takes her time on your hair to do it right and to avoid as much damage as possible. Her blending skills are amazing. I have done highlights and cuts with her plus Olaplex treatments. I’m typically paying between $100-$150 including tip.”

Misty Rayburn at Hunky Dory
From a client: “She is so friendly and easy to talk with. She is also great at listening to what you want out of a cut and making recommendations. I also get my kids’ hair cut there. Misty is so laid back with them. One of them is on the autism spectrum and she is so patient with him. She takes her time with him and makes sure to explain every step so that he is comfortable. I get a wash, cut, and style and pay between $40-$50.”
1634 Slaughter Road
Emily at Millidines Day Spa
From a client: “Emily has done my hair for over a decade. She is the best colorist out there. I don’t trust anyone else! I typically switch up my color a little each time but stay in the blonde range. She does a color melt by my roots so that the grow-out is very subtle since I can only afford to come maybe twice a year. Typically my cost for a color, cut, and style is around $120 before tip. I love Emily because not only is she amazingly talented at her work but she truly cares about her clients and gets to know each of us personally.”
