Many North Alabama residents caught the vision for Town Madison years ago and have been eager to see it all come to fruition. Though frustration has abounded at times due to pandemic-related construction halts, Breland Companies President Joey Ceci says that the community should still be just as expectant (and perhaps even more excited than ever) about what is happening each and every off day off of I-565 here in Madison.
I recently sat down with Ceci to grab the 411 on what residents of north Alabama and visitors alike can look forward to enjoying within Town Madison soon. He didn’t hold back, and what he shared had me beaming from ear to ear with anticipation for what’s to come.
Restaurants at Town Madison: An Update | September 2021
The Hub is still on track to break ground soon! Those who have visited the Seaside, Florida location know that The Hub will be one of the hottest spots in North Alabama. Location-wise it will border the south side of I-565 just east of Toyota Field. Construction will begin near a current drainage ditch that will soon be transformed into an attractive lake. According to 30a.com, The Hub is described as “an entertainment district and gathering place for families and friends with great restaurants, shopping, and events.”
SaZa Serious Italian Restaurant began construction months ago and will open soon! This Montgomery-based restaurant is located just left of The Yard Milkshake Bar and will thrill local residents who have been begging for additional Italian concepts in the area. Ceci shared that SaZa will feature local painters in the mezzanine area of the restaurant that will paint on location while diners are able to watch in awe. Paintings will either be available for purchase or hung throughout the restaurant. Such a neat concept!
Moe’s Original BBQ is well underway and opening in mid-September! Follow along with their local Instagram channel.
Premiere Dental Spa will also soon have a location within Town Madison, as well as the extremely popular and evergrowing concept Taco Mama. Three cheers!
J. Alexander’s was the first restaurant concept announced for Town Madison, and though construction has been slowed, Ceci says that guests will be able to enjoy this wood-fire cuisine very soon.
Margaritaville is one of the most asked-about concepts at Town Madison, and good news! Ceci says to fear not, and that it’s absolutely still happening. Developers are in the final stages of hammering out solidifying details and hope to break ground as soon as possible with a potential 2023 opening.
Previously announced concepts that are also under construction with nearing opening dates include SuperChix, Five Guys, and I Love Sushi.
Prohibition Rooftop Bar & Grill will be Madison’s first rooftop bar and restaurant concept and is already under construction. Completion is scheduled for spring 2022.
Outback Steakhouse is also under construction, and Ceci says that this location will be the first of its kind for the franchise. A long list of features that’ll be first seen in this location include a more enhanced outdoor dining space as well as an improved, modern to-go order process/area.
More previously announced restaurants at Town Madison that will soon break ground include Panda Express, Starbucks, Panera, and Chipotle Mexican Grill.
And there’s more! Ceci says that there are a number of exciting concepts in the final stages of being hammered out and added to the lengthy list of business concepts within Town Madison. These include a popular Mexican (local) concept, a sit-down breakfast concept (There are a couple in the queue, and they both sound divine!), and a popular bakery concept (will be a stand-alone location!).
Regarding the flyover that will take visitors from Town Madison to I-565 westbound, Ceci says that it’s on track to be open by the time the 2023 Trash Pandas season kicks off. Construction will take roughly 14 months and should break ground by the end of 2021.
Residentially, Ceci says that Town Madison is also rockin’ and rollin’ with all kinds of housing opportunities. Two additional apartment complexes are under construction as well as a set of condominiums that are also under construction right behind The Yard Milkshake Bar location. The upscale pool and expansive amenities center were completed earlier this year for residents to immensely enjoy. Ceci says that options to build or purchase a home within Town Madison are plentiful (more on this to come!)
