GOOD NEWS ALERT!
Final preparations are underway at Freddy’s with a tentative opening day of June 9th. Three cheers for steakburgers, custard, and their oh-so-good fry sauce!
Freddy’s in Madison
This Freddy’s location is the first in North Alabama and is located in the Madison Corners shopping center on Balch Road near HWY 72. Owner Sam Abusaleem says that the opening date could shift a hair in either direction on the calendar due to the beef shortage and training logistics but that he is more excited and eager than ever to serve our community as soon as they possibly can.
“We focus heavily on quality here,” says Abusaleem. “Our environment is family-friendly. It’s happy. We serve the freshest food and even have a patio for guests to enjoy.”
I also spoke with managers Jay Scott, Cameron Cross, and Hassan Jattan who explained why Freddy’s pinpointed Madison as a desirable location for the restaurant.
“This community is heavily populated with military affiliation, and we like to support military towns.”
Cross continued to explain that Freddy’s was named after a WWII veteran who received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Freddy’s will feature a double drive-thru and be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Freddy’s in Madison is currently hiring for all positions and encourage interested candidates to apply on their website. Jattan expressed that Freddy’s is a family-oriented restaurant and that they are looking for employees who are also family-orientated.
“We also want them to come in and be ready to hustle,” joked Jattan.
{Author note: We lived in Kansas for a short time a few years ago, and we loved Freddy’s so much that we made it our “last meal” before driving to plant roots in Madison. It was a whole-family favorite. We’re personally really excited!}
