Away From Here Series: A Peek Inside Jones Valley’s European Wax Center Location

This article is written as part of the “Away From Here” series where All Things Madison branches outside of our city and explores destinations for residents to visit when they want to get “away from here”. Today we’re heading over to the rapidly-growing Jones Valley community in Huntsville and venturing to European Wax Center, the second location of its kind within North Alabama!

As the Huntsville area grows and grows (and grows and grows!), businesses across the globe have their eyes laser-focused on this area to determine if they want to bring their franchises here. Once they decide it’s a good idea, they bring another, and then another! If the demand is there, the business will meet it!

This is exactly what is happening with European Wax Center, which opened its first north Alabama location in 2021 in Madison. It quickly became explosively and consistently popular, so a second location quickly made its way to the scene.

And surprise! A third European Wax Center will soon open in the area, and though the location cannot be revealed just yet, we’ll tease you a bit by sharing that those with close proximity to I-565 in Madison are going to do a little happy dance!

Let’s backtrack to the Huntsville location though and share a bit of helpful information about this popular waxing destination on the south side of the city.

The Jones Valley location of European Wax Center opened in June 2022 and has had a revolving door of clientele ever since! EWC is located along Carl T. Jones Drive and is situated right by Barnes & Noble and Home Goods.

European Wax Center offers the following waxing services for men and women: brow, body, facial, Brazilian, brow tinting, and more.

Though there are other waxing centers in the region, there are factors that differentiate them. European Wax Center uses an exclusive waxing formula that can only be found at their locations. It was formulated in Europe and is a hard, stripless wax. This means that the wax at European Wax Center adheres only to hair (and never to skin), and is removed without a strip. The wax itself is able to be removed in one swift movement. Easy!

Cory Hudson, the district manager of all three European Wax Center locations in north Alabama, shares a few tips for booking at this location if you’re a first-time visitor.

For starters, as a first-time guest, you qualify for a free wax on your first visit! Choose from a bikini line wax, underarm wax, nose wax, ear wax, brow wax, or back wax (either upper, middle, or lower).

Next, making an appointment online is the easiest way to ensure that you’ll be able to zip in and out of your appointment. Simply visit waxcenter.com, select the location, and schedule your appointment. This tool is also great if you’re considering a same-day appointment as it stays updated with availability.

Finally, Hudson shares the most popular waxing services for both men and women and encourages you to give them a whirl too since so many customers routinely book them. The most popular services for men are ear waxing, back waxing, and bikini waxing. The most popular services are women are full legs, underarms, and bikini/Brazilian.

The Madison locations + the Huntsville location combined now mean that the majority of residents in Huntsville and Madison can zip over to a European Wax Center location in 15 minutes or less.
