The Limestone County side of Madison is exploding with both residential and commercial development, and Mayor Paul Finely says that this western side of Madison has plans for new recreation parks, athletic facilities, a completed new greenway, and much more.

Many in the area have recently discovered the vast amount of impressive construction along Huntsville Brownsferry Road and have craned their necks as they pass by The Village at Oakland Springs, a rapidly growing residential and commercial development that’s situated just two miles west of Burgreen Road.

If you weren’t looking for it, you may not have known that this unique, pedestrian-focused neighborhood existed, but those who call it home will tell you that they’re glad they discovered the secret.

The Village at Oakland Springs is comprised of several award-winning builders who have completed homes in the neighborhood ranging from 1,200 square feet to over 4,200 square feet. These builders include Jimmy Bryan Construction, Regent Homes, The Builders Group, VTS Homes, Ford Homes, and more. Want to learn more about this magnetic, unique community here in Madison? You’re invited to the 2023 Village at Oakland Springs Dream Home Preview Day on Saturday, February 18th from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This free, one-day-only event will include 13 open homes that are all available to call your own! Each home is either move-in ready or nearing completion by early Spring.

Event organizers have worked hard to ensure that the event is an entertaining, worthwhile experience for all attendees and have created an action-packed line-up for those who visit The Village at Oakland Springs.

Bring the entire family and check in at 213 Mission Street.

Here you will find a map of all open properties to browse at your leisure. In this home you’ll also have the opportunity to enter the first of several raffles. Prizes include a $150 Tom Brown’s Restaurant gift card as well as four $50 Visa gift cards!

If you’ve brought the family along but would prefer to tour the homes without children, you are welcome to bring them to the southwest side of Kearny Street, where your children will find complimentary face painting, a bounce house, and free babysitting!

Plan to spend a couple of hours touring each of the 13 homes as no two look the same. Each home features a different floor plan, bathroom and kitchen finishes, square footage, various custom features, and much more.

Assume that you may work up an appetite from all of the fun? Don’t miss grabbing a bite to eat from Such n’ Such foot truck along Lombard Street. If you’ve never had these burgers and tacos before, you’re in for a treat! Based out of Decatur, this locally-owned food truck features a menu that will make you salivate!

If a sweet treat is what you have a hankering for, there will be options for an icy treat too! You’ll find the second food truck with sweet treat offerings along Filbert Way.
