Grab your friends and family and mark your calendar for Saturday, August 8th because the 1st annual Madison Chamber of Commerce Color Run is back on the books!
After calling it off this spring due to COVID-19, the Chamber is excited to move forward with this event and have some fun with the community. Plus, there’s some big money on the line for the school that has the most participants!
Here are the details.
- The certified 5k run will kick off at 8 a.m. at the Madison City Schools stadium and follow a course that winds all throughout downtown and then ends back at the stadium.
- The 1-mile run starts and ends at the stadium as well and kicks off at 9 a.m.
- Individual tickets start at $20, but group packages start at $60 for a family of four. This means that the more people you bring along, the more money you save.
- Register by July 27th and you’ll receive a t-shirt too!
- Strollers are welcome but no animals, please.
- Packet pick-up times will be on at the Madison Chamber of Commerce Office (103 Spenryn Dr, Suite 100) on Thursday and Friday before the run.
- The school with the highest number of participants receives a cash prize. Anyone can claim their affiliation to your school, so remind your friends and family to designate your school on the registration form as the one they want to win the prize.
What is a Color Run?
You are in for a fun morning full of laughs! Dart through the streets as sideliners toss different hues of powder. You’ll be multi-colored by the end of the race, which makes for a great photo opp! Wear your race t-shirt or grab a white shirt to make the powder pop.
