Give me a beautiful outdoor dining space where I can enjoy delicious food in the company of my favorite people, and I’m just about the happiest girl alive.
To find this in my own backyard here in Madison, Alabama, is a dream come true.
There are patios, and then there’s the terrace at Chuck’s Fish. My husband and I first laid eyes on it during their soft opening months ago, and we knew instantly that this spot was “our spot”.
And it is. We’ve shared many meals on this terrace together and with friends, and we look forward to enjoying this space for many years to come.
If you’ve ever stepped onto the terrace at Chuck’s Fish, you know what I’m talking about. The greenery, the art, the way the sun sets to the west and lights up the patio with golden hues. It’s just beautiful.
It’s casual, it’s classy, and it’s one of Madison’s best spots for hanging with loved ones.
During football season, this space is ideal. The terrace features two TVs that resemble artwork when they’re off, but then display crystal-clear game screens when they’re on. Add in couch seating, tables for groups, and heaters when the evenings turn chilly, and you’ve got the perfect atmosphere for cheering on your team!
Of course, the terrace wouldn’t be half as good without the food and drinks that come with it. Chuck’s Fish is a destination for seafood that is hard to find in our area. Their fish comes straight from their own seafood market called Harbor Docks in Destin, Florida.
It doesn’t just taste fresh; It IS fresh!
The sushi has been award-winning again and again in the state of Alabama, as has the seafood as a whole!
If you’re not a big seafood lover, Chuck’s Fish may still win you over! Their menu is packed with steaks, pizzas, and one of my all-time favorite chicken dishes: the Chicken Scallopini. My husband and I love it so much that I once tried to recreate it at home for Father’s Day (it wasn’t nearly the same!)
Many people don’t realize that the terrace is available for rent for private events. It’s perfect for reunions, corporate dinners, bridal showers, graduation parties, business functions, and more.
You rent the space, and then the staff will work with you to create exactly what you need, whether it’s buffet-style dining, a limited menu, or a fully custom option that fits your exact group and budget.

Everybody loves a good Happy Hour, and Happy Hour is GOOD at Chuck’s Fish! It happens every single day from 4-6 pm at the bar, featuring half-off wells, beer, and wine by the glass. Tuesdays are Ladies’ Night, which means you get the same happy hour deals all night long, plus $2 off sushi rolls.
Chuck’s Fish in Madison just opened in February 2025, but we’ve already enjoyed more special nights here than I can count. Summer date nights, birthdays with girlfriends, even my mother-in-law’s milestone birthday! Earlier this month, my parents celebrated their anniversary at Chuck’s Fish, and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
I love that this is a place where you can dress up in cocktail attire, but you don’t have to. You can come in jeans and a top and still feel completely welcome.

Friday and Saturday from 4-11 pm
Sunday from 4-9 pm
