There’s a new Thanksgiving Day tradition kicking off in Madison this year, and I think you’re going to be tickled by it!
Chuck’s Fish opened within Clift Farm in early 2025 and hit the ground running to become a steady part of the Madison community.
Continuing the tradition of their restaurants in Tuscaloosa, Mobile, and Athens, Georgia, Chuck’s Fish will open on Thanksgiving Day and serve a traditional holiday meal completely free of charge.
Donations will be accepted and will go towards Madison Visionary Partners, a community 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that works hard year-round to make Madison a more special place to live, work, and play.
Recent projects that MVP has been heavily involved in include the opening of the Madison Community Center, the Kids Kingdom renovation, the Madison Witches Ride (which this year benefited the Madison Miracle League), GATHER Madison, and many more. MVP will continue to work hard in 2026 and beyond to fund and support community projects and programs that enhance the lives of everyone who calls our city home.
Doors will open at 11am, and seating is first-come, first-served. No reservations will be accepted. You will be served a traditional Thanksgiving meal (including dessert!) by volunteer servers. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the bar.
In addition to your Thanksgiving dinner, you will also receive a Thanksgiving “leftover” sandwich to enjoy later, since Chuck’s Fish knows that Thanksgiving leftovers are often the best part of the holiday weekend.
You may leave a donation via cash or credit card (at the bar).
This has been a tradition at the Tuscaloosa location for 16 years and counting.
Chuck’s Fish Partner Cris Eddings says that Chuck’s Fish strives to be a part of every community where they choose to open restaurants in.
“We want to be able to send a message that we all share common ground, and no matter what you have going on on Thanksgiving Day, everybody deserves to break bread together.”
Join the Madison community at Chuck’s Fish this Thanksgiving Day, starting at 11 a.m. Come hungry, leave full, and help make Madison an even better place to call home.
