Burn Boot Camp Review: Non-Scale Wins

A Burn Boot Camp Review: I joined Burn Boot Camp two years ago with the goal of getting in better physical shape, but the lessons I’ve learned on the floating floor have carried into every aspect of my daily life. As an entrepreneur and 35 year old mom of three, I can say whole heartedly that joining Burn has been a crucial part of my daily life.

I am really excited to share with you about six non-scale victories from working out at Burn Boot Camp. I joined Burn Boot Camp in Madison, Alabama in early September 2021 (nearly two years ago) and never looked back. I’ve now completed over 410 camps and feel energized to share my experience as a Burn Boot Camp member with anyone who will listen.

When I joined Burn Boot Camp, I hoped to get in better physical shape overall. I didn’t have any other identifiable goals for why I wanted to join. Thankfully I had a close friend join me around the same time, so being consistent with attending camps became something we held each other accountable for.

Burn Boot Camp Review: Non-Scale Victories

Both of us now feel self-disciplined enough to show up each weekday for the long list of reasons that we’ve individually discovered we loved Burn Boot Camp.

To say that Burn Boot Camp has changed my life feels rather dramatic to say, but as a whole, it’s helped shape me into a healthier version of myself mentally and physically, and the benefits of that have positively touched nearly every aspect of my life.

From trying new hobbies to growing my business, being a Burn Boot Camp member has empowered me to never feel too limited or stuck.

Burn Boot Camp Review: Here are 6 benefits of consistently working out at Burn Boot Camp that have nothing to do with weight loss.

  1. My mood is improved.

This is the primary reason I work out first thing in the morning; It set me up mentally in a positive direction each day. Exercise releases endorphins, which are known as “feel-good” hormones, and I think I’m addicted to them!

2. My energy levels are increased.

Having mental and physical energy is vital. Juggling motherhood while running my own full-time business requires being “on” every moment of every day, so high energy levels are necessary to consistently tackle it all well.

3. My mental clarity feels enhanced.

I’ve read that exercise promotes better cognitive function by increasing blood flow to the brain. Exercise, therefore, lends itself to improved focus, concentration, memory, and overall mental sharpness. I’ll take it!

4. I feel more confident.

And I’m not talking about how I physically look but rather the appreciation I feel for my body and the capabilities it now has. From tasks around the home to adventuring with my family, I feel more confident to dive into tasks and adventures because I feel physically more capable of doing so.

5. I am less stressed.

Camps at Burn Boot Camp have this magical ability to help me forget whatever problem I walked in carrying. For 45 minutes I forget about everything else that my brain was swirling around. This has led to less overall stress and a stronger ability to face stressful situations head-on.

6. I feel overall more empowered.

Burn Boot Camp challenges you daily to do just a little bit more than you think you can, whether that’s picking up a weight that’s a few pounds heavier or doing just one more push-up on your toes. It’s common to feel accomplished when you walk out the door after camp, and I have found that this concept of wanting to achieve just a little bit more has rippled into other areas of my life in positive ways. From trying new hobbies to growing my business, being a Burn Boot Camp member has empowered me to never feel too limited or stuck.

What is Burn Boot Camp?

Burn Boot Camp has nearly 400 locations in 41 states and is striving to open 10,000 locations globally in the next 10 years!

This fitness concept offers 45-minute “camps” Monday through Saturday. Camps are led by certified fitness instructors in group-style classes.

Camps vary each day between strength and cardio (or both), so no two days ever look the exact same. If your legs are overly sore from a lower-body strength day, the odds are high that you won’t be focusing on your lower body again the very next day. This varied rotation often gives muscle groups the chance to somewhat recover before being worked on again.

Childcare is available at the majority of camps, and the cost of childcare is included in one’s monthly membership.

Burn Boot Camp highly encourages members to schedule at least one focus meeting per month. Focus meetings are one-on-one with a trainer before or after camp and last for roughly 10 minutes. During these private meetings, trainers will discuss goals and setbacks while also offering advice and encouragement. There is also the opportunity to measure your weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, and general inches around your body.
