We took a gamble on Scout Pest Control’s mosquito service four summers ago because, quite frankly, I was tired of watching two members of our family get eaten alive every time I suggested we eat dinner or hang out outside (which is my favorite thing ever in the summertime!)
Bug spray only worked sometimes, plus they got tired of applying it just to eat a simple meal on the porch.
When I heard that Scout had a mosquito service, I signed us up and hoped it would work. Fast forward to now, and we are the MOST LOYAL customers and honestly would never cancel this service!
Our neighbors have it, even my own parents have it, all because it actually works.
How do we know? Well, those two family members I mentioned aren’t getting eaten alive anymore! Pretty easy to see the results.
Most people don’t realize that the city only sprays for a specific type of mosquito (the kind that flies in from places like the Tennessee River). Scout targets the ones that actually live and breed in your yard, hiding in bushes, gutters, flower pots, tree hollows, etc. These are the ones carrying diseases and making it hard to enjoy your own stinkin’ home!
I’ve watched Scout treat the breeding sites to stop mosquitoes at the source, using products that disrupt their lifecycle before they bite. They also coat your bushes with a special treatment so mosquitoes won’t hang out there for the plant sugars.
BEST PART: If you’re having issues between visits, Scout will come back and treat again at no cost! But after all this time as a customer, we’ve never once had to call them back.
You can get mosquito service on its own or bundle it with full pest control (which also covers fleas and ticks).
Years later, the DeSpains are BIG FANS. This company is locally owned (only in North Alabama!), incredibly effective, and we trust them completely.
