We’ve personally hired Kendall Outdoors, a locally owned and operated company, four times in the last three years, and every time we’ve had the same experience: a flawless result.
We recently had Kendall Outdoors come out to give our backyard a new look, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome!
Some people assume that we dislike our small backyard when in fact, we actually really like it. (It sometimes takes my husband just seven minutes to mow the whole thing!)
Additionally, we live in a front porch neighborhood with numerous amenities, so we often spend time in our driveway and around the neighborhood.
But at the end of the day, we are parents of three small kids, and especially when we have company at our home, we’ve been feeling a push to have more space in the backyard to watch our kids and their friends hang out.
The original thought behind this backyard when we built the house was that, since it’s so small anyway, let’s put a really big 7’ x 18’ concrete pad down. We invested in a 10-foot-long custom picnic table so that we could dine outside.
We bought four beautiful planter boxes so that I could have a flower garden, too.
Four and a half years later, though, we disliked dining in this area, and I also am not into gardening as much as I wanted to be.
So, it was time for an overhaul!
The first company I reached out to this past spring was Kendall Outdoors. Jake Kendall, the owner, came out, measured, put eyes on it, and gave me a quote. We sat on it for a little bit, trying to figure out what we wanted to do to move forward.
Long story short, the time came, and it was time to move forward with this project. We sold the planter boxes and the picnic table and had Kendall Outdoors get rid of two-thirds of the concrete pad.
We left a little concrete space so we could put our grill and possibly have a small kitchen area down the road, but we know that the backyard will evolve.
They also came with the most lucious sod I have EVER seen! Beautiful!
Our plan is to get a small ninja backyard jungle gym set so that even our preteens can enjoy hanging out back here with their friends!
Kendall Outdoors is a locally owned and operated company. This is the fourth time that we’ve hired them in three years to do work on our home. They provide very clear estimates, and they can handle any lawn-care-related task.
They’ve been in business for over 10 years, and they can do anything, from smaller springtime projects where they give your landscaping a haircut and redo your mulch and pine straw, all the way up to completely overhauling your yard.
They can put in turf. They can design and build entire outdoor kitchens and pergolas. They can do exterior lighting. There’s really nothing this company can’t do.
