Apartment complexes are popping up all over North Alabama, and the level of luxury that many are offering the community is next level. While some residents are looking for an apartment as a temporary home while in the process of finding something more long-term, others are seeking apartments as a way of simplifying their lives and enjoying the immense perks that come along with renting.
But how does an apartment seeker decide which community is the right fit for them? Though some may have ample time to do numerous in-person tours, others are on a time crunch (or physically not in the area yet) and need to know quickly what sets apart one from another.
About 1010 Elliston in Madison, Alabama
In this article, I’ll be giving you a virtual tour and review of 1010 Elliston, a brand-spankin’ new apartment community on the north side of HWY 72. Though it sits on semi-quiet McCrary Street, it’s located just one mile from restaurants, retail, and more on HWY 72. In a nutshell, 1010 Elliston has all of the perks of a brand new luxury community and would be an absolute dream to call home. Let’s check it out!

Phase 1 of 1010 Elliston is nearly complete and features 192 apartments, ranging in size from studios to three-bedroom/two-bath units. Two more phases will soon be under construction and are expected to be complete by 2024. At completion, 1010 Elliston will offer 600 units.
Amenities include a 24/7 state-of-the-art expansive fitness center, a large, luxurious pool, a business center, a complimentary coffee and tea bar, several indoor and outdoor gathering areas, grilling stations, and more.
The main indoor community gathering space will make your jaw drop. The two-story ceilings combined with the bright, fresh decor and artwork make you want to grab your friends and family and settle in for a while on the couch, at a high-top table, or with a game.
This gathering area also includes a kitchen sink and counter area with extra thick granite for an elevated feel.
The 24/7 fitness facility is expansive and also features two-story ceilings, plenty of bright light, and enough equipment to do all kinds of workouts, from cardio to strength and so much more. The gym also offers complimentary Peloton bikes!
The business center is complimentary for residents to make use of and includes numerous desks and chairs, a printer, a copier, and more.
The star of the show for many residents is the luxurious resort-style, salt water pool, which includes numerous tanning ledges, in-water lounge chairs, over two-dozen surrounding chairs (with pillows!), outdoor couches, gathering areas, a grilling area, pergola, dancing water, and more.
All of the apartments that overlook the pool area have two bedrooms/two bathrooms, and as of the publication of this article (June 2022), many are available for immediate move-in!
Let’s talk about the living spaces though within the apartments themselves because there are several things that set them apart.
For starters, many of the apartments have dining areas that could fit a table and chairs for 4-8 people. Many other apartment complexes only offer counter space for stools and leave no room for a dining table, but interested residents will absolutely find this here in many units.
Another showstopping element of 1010 Elliston is the amount of closet space within each unit. Many units are outfitted with coat closets, a separate kitchen pantry, walk-in closets, and an exterior storage area either on the patio or in the entry area.
A washer and dryer come complimentary and ready to use in every unit. Appliances are all stainless steel and attractive.
Pets are allowed, though some restrictions do apply.
A valet trash service is offered for every guest, and pest control and garbage services are all complimentary.
1010 Elliston is one of the first complexes that I’ve toured to offer a true studio apartment. One step inside, and I was immediately gasping with delight. My idea of a studio is one single room laid out with four walls, but this idea of a studio is much more spacious and luxurious.
There actually is a separate bedroom partitioned off by a roughly 7′ wall that separates the living room from the bedroom. While there is no actual door, it still feels like an elevated version of studio living.
These studios are hot commodities though, so if this is on your radar, the leasing manager advises you to get on the waitlist as soon as possible.
Finally, 1010 Elliston was created by Sealy Management Company, a locally-owned family business that also brought popular apartment communities to the area such as The Avenue properties in both Huntsville and Madison.
